Acceptable Use & Fair Use Policy
Effective date: August 24, 2026
Fair-use thresholds below are indicative and we will contact you before enforcing any limit against your organization.
Prohibited conduct
Do not use the platform to break the law; to store or send content you have no right to use; to harass, defraud or deceive; to distribute malware; to probe, scan or attempt to access another organization's data or account; to circumvent access controls, seat counting or billing; or to resell access without a written agreement.
Email sending
Email sent through the platform must go to recipients you have a legitimate business relationship with or documented consent from. Every bulk or marketing message must identify the sender and offer a working unsubscribe. Purchased, scraped or rented lists are not permitted.
Marketing and bulk email must use the marketing sending path. Routing bulk marketing through the transactional or authentication email streams is prohibited, because it endangers deliverability for every organization on the platform.
Sending rates are controlled, and repeated high bounce or complaint rates will pause sending for the offending organization.
Calling and texting
Click-to-call and click-to-text use the user's own device and carrier. Users are responsible for complying with calling-time restrictions, do-not-call obligations and recording-consent laws in their jurisdiction, and for their own carrier charges.
Location data
Device location may be used for visit verification and routing only, with the user's permission, and must not be used to track staff outside working activity or without telling them.
Fair use
The subscription assumes normal business use by the seats purchased. Extraordinary consumption of mapping, geocoding, routing, email, storage or AI capacity may be reviewed with the organization owner. We will notify owners before taking action, and fair-use review will not silently disable core CRM function.
Security research
Responsible reports are welcome. Do not test against data belonging to organizations other than your own, and do not attempt denial-of-service or data-destruction testing.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and, where necessary, restrict a feature, suspend a user, or suspend an organization. We will contact the organization owner except where doing so would worsen an active security incident. Questions: support@opulentcrm.app.
